Finding pregnancy, birth and parenting support shouldn’t mean having to explain your family, correct assumptions or wonder whether the space you’re entering will truly include you.
At The Queer Parenting Partnership, all of our services are designed with LGBTQ+ people and families in mind from the very beginning. Our approach is inclusive, affirming and free from assumptions about your gender, sexuality, relationship, family structure, body or route to parenthood.
Whether you’re preparing for pregnancy, getting ready to welcome a baby, navigating life as a new parent or looking for a space where your family is understood and celebrated, our services are here to provide practical information, support and connection.
And while education is an important part of what we do, we don’t believe learning about pregnancy and parenthood needs to feel clinical or intimidating. Our classes and workshops are jam-packed with warmth, conversation, laughter and plenty of opportunities to connect with other people in the community.
We want you to leave feeling better informed, more confident in your choices and empowered to navigate your own path to parenthood – whatever that path looks like.

Perinatal Education
Preparing for birth and a new baby can bring plenty of questions, and finding perinatal education that reflects your family shouldn’t be another thing you have to worry about.
Our perinatal education course provides an inclusive, affirming space where LGBTQ+ parents and parents-to-be can learn, ask questions and prepare for the changes ahead without stereotypes or assumptions about their identity, body, relationships or family.
The course is split into two sections, each delivered across a weekend:
- Antenatal (pregnancy and birth) explores pregnancy, preparing for birth and the information you may need to make informed choices about your care and birth experience.
- Postnatal (parenting a new baby) focuses on preparing for life with your new baby and navigating the early stages of parenthood.
All of our classes are held online, making it easier to join us from the comfort of your own home, wherever you are.
Our aim isn’t to tell you what your pregnancy, birth or parenting journey should look like. Instead, we provide inclusive, evidence-based education that gives you the knowledge and confidence to ask questions, understand your options and make choices that work for you and your family.

Social Support
Parenthood can sometimes feel isolating, particularly when the parenting spaces around you don’t reflect your identity, your experiences or the way your family looks.
At The Queer Parenting Partnership, we believe community matters. We offer several online social spaces where LGBTQ+ parents, parents-to-be and families can connect, build friendships and find support from people who may share similar experiences.
Our social spaces are designed to be welcoming, relaxed and affirming. There’s no expectation that your family looks a particular way, that you’ve followed a particular route to parenthood or that you use particular labels. You can simply come as you are.
Whether you’re looking to meet other queer families, share the realities of pregnancy and parenting, ask questions, celebrate the good bits or have somewhere to talk when things feel a little harder, our community spaces are here to help you feel connected.
